Mineral Adding Bamboo Drip Irrigation System

The project uses bamboo pipes to move water using the force of gravity. The water is filtered with a metallic sieve, minerals are added to it and mineral-rich water is dropped into plant roots. The problems faced by farmers in the Northeast region and the spirit to help them with an affordable solution that helps in reducing water requirement and enhancing yield is what inspired the young innovators to work on the Mineral Adding Bamboo Drip Irrigation System. The quartet believes their unique and innovative system can change the lives of farmers in Northeast India. Aryan says the whole project was exciting for them. However, designing the mineral adding unit was one of the most difficult tasks they faced while working on the simple yet effective model. The young innovator says they see the Mineral Adding Bamboo Drip Irrigation System being installed across farms in Northeast India and contributing to farmers’ productivity and well-being. Steve Jobs is Aryan’s favourite innovator “for the manner in which he transformed the way we communicate.” When feeling uninspired, the youngster says he reads about great innovators and draws inspiration from how they overcame the challenges. Going ahead, the startup would like to address the problem of poverty and the issue of animal welfare. Aryan says children can be encouraged to become innovators by providing them the knowledge and resources to innovate. “My journey with CIF has been great. I am thankful to CIF for giving my team and me this opportunity to present our idea on a big platform,” he says.
