about

The startup idea deals with the effective disposal of all types of wastes like plastic, bio-medical and municipal waste through a project based on plasma pyrolysis. This waste disposal technique can convert waste into various byproducts and energy without harming the environment. The collapse in the Ghazipur landfill in Delhi, which caused the death of two persons, inspired Yagyik and his team members to think of a better way of waste disposal. And now, through his startup idea, they want to ensure the same is done in a manner that doesn’t harm the environment and also provides valuable byproducts in the process. In the next few years, the young innovators want to see their startup idea benefitting the environment. Going ahead, they also want to solve problems related to energy production as in India, the supply of energy is still lower than the demand. For the youngsters, the most exciting and most challenging part was finding that plasma can be a solution in waste disposal. Yagyik says his favourite innovator is Thomas Elva Edison because “he never lost hope and knew that his invention could change the world. So he kept working hard on his most famous invention, the light bulb.” When feeling down, Yagyik reads Stephen Hawking’s books, which inspire him to do something to change the world in a better way. The youngsters feel more children can be encouraged to become innovators by sensitizing them towards the burning problems and motivating them to find solutions. The team says they have had a “great journey” with CIF and the way CIF extended help left them “mesmerized.”
